Ever congenial and hospitable, he is the proprietor of one of the best wine shops in Savoie, which he uses as a forum to advocate for the region’s top growers. He also tends 5 hectares of vines in the Savoie cru of Aprémont, situated below the impressive north face of Mont Granier. Here he works by hand to carefully cultivate the region’s traditional grape varieties, with a special focus on the white grape Jacquére.
His Aprémont Tradition is a tremendous introduction to grape, place, and grower. This is light and easy, but it's also packed with flavors of fresh pear, Meyer lemon, mountain herbs, and Alpine minerality. Pure, clean, and just relatively low in alcohol, it's meant for sipping with fish, seafood, and sunny days.
