Their Grun Grun Gruner bottling is an awesome intro into their style and philosophy. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this pours as a hazy white. High-toned, savory, and mineralic, with fruits of sour green apple, golden apple, pineapple, and Meyer lemon. Characteristic Gruner Veltiner white pepper, meadow herbs, and limeade show themselves as well. A fascinating wine that gives a view into what is in many ways new wave but also an application of old techniques.
