Famed Mosel Riesling winemaker Ernst Loosen purchased the Villa Wolf Estate in the Pfalz village of Wachenheim in 1996. He makes lovely Riesling and Gewurztraminer here, but the focus is more on Pinot Noir, and his Rose of Pinot Noir is downright addictive.
This year's release is delightful! It is light and refreshing, with deliciously bright berry and fruit flavors and a clean, zippy finish. Perfect to beat the heat!
