In 1998 the Pizzolo family decided to restore an old vineyard of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that they had found on their property that they had previously acquired near the town of Popoli.
Their Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a full bodied, rich, generous, and fresh styled Montepulciano. Berry fruits of blueberry and ripe cherry are accompanied by blackberry compote. Licorice, fresh toasted spice, and cedar wood are all evident as well in this old school Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
