Since 2005, Santa Barbara native Justin Tyler Willett has been crafting precise, poised, and restrained Chardonnays from the various terroirs of Santa Barbara County. His philosophy toward winemaking is simple -- work with great vineyards, harvest healthy fruit, and let it do its thing. This "less is more" approach to winemaking is one we champion at Table Wine, and we love this wine.

A blend of grapes from Bien Nacido, Dierberg, Rinconada, and Sanford & Benedict, 4 of the top vineyards in the county, this is fermented with native yeasts and fermented in tank. Aged for 11 months in French oak, but just 10% new barrels, it is a lively and energetic Chardonnay that emphasizes freshness and purity over extraction and richness.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2023 Chardonnay opens with beautifully pure, fresh aromas of jasmine, citrus rinds and orchard blossoms. On the palate, it displays a live-wire, tangy energy that carries through the zesty, mineral-drenched finish. This punches far above its weight and would do so as an appellation wine, much less a regional one."
