The Tornesi estate has been owned by the same family since 1750, long before Brunello di Montalcino had established its stellar reputation. All of the estate's vineyards are located at 400+ meters, and they are all certified organic. In addition to growing Sangiovese, the Tornesi family also produced olive oil from their 600 trees. This is a family farm all the way!
Their Brunello is classic in every, way, shape, and form. With vineyards not far from those of Biondi-Santi, these primely situated sites yield a classic and structured wine with great fruit ripeness, good structure, and complex mineral notes. It is a timeless wine that will appeal to those who love "true-blue," traditional Italian reds.
