Founded in 1990 by the Fonseca family, this Albarino specialist works with old vines situated in higher elevation vineyards. They are practicing organic, and all of the work in the vineyards and cellars is very hands-on.
Their 2022 Abadia de San Campio Albarino is a textbook example of this very fine and classic Spanish white variety. Nicely weighted, juicy, and plump on the palate, with flavors of nectarine, white peach, ripe citrus, and Mediterranean herb, this is just plain delicious. Enjoy with all sorts of fish and seafood dishes.
