Sandlands is the project of Tegan Passalacqua, one of California's most respected growers and winemakers. Tegan spent two decades at Turley Wine Cellars and has dedicated Sandlands to old-vine, dry-farmed vineyards and California's historic grape varieties. The Lodi Cinsault comes from the Bechthold Vineyard, planted in 1886 and one of California's oldest vineyards.
This is a light, fragrant red with bright notes of red cherry, raspberry, orange peel, flowers, spice, and earth. Silky and fresh with lively acidity, it has the kind of delicacy and energy that makes it incredibly easy to drink, especially with a slight chill.
