Renzo Castella Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba

This wine is a "darling" of the sommelier community and for good reason. Renzo Castella farms his old vines without the use of any herbicides or pesticides (aka organic), and the Diano d'Alba zone is the equivalent of a "Grand Cru" site, specifically for Dolcetto. These vineyards are right next door to Barolo.

The finished wine is a magical bottle at a more than reasonable price. With loads of dark fruits, violet, and an overall seductive personality, it should cost twice the price. We were lucky to get a 7 case allocation of this highly sought after wine. Get some before it's gone!
