An absolutely stellar value in high quality Barolo, this contains grapes from a variety of sites including the famed Cru of Cannubi. This is a very complete Barolo that provides you with immediate reason to consider Nebbiolo as one of the greatest grapes in the world. A beautiful garnet color with amber around the edges, this smells of fresh cherry, strawberry, mint, tobacco, and brown spices. Reflecting the nose, the palate flows with notes of raspberry compote, dark cherry liqueur, nutmeg, and coffee bean. The tannins are quite fine-grained here, but I still recommend a 1-2 hour decant before enjoying.
