Pio Cesare has been producing wine for more than 100 years and through generations. The tradition began in 1881, when Pio Cesare started gathering grapes in his vineyards and purchasing those of some selected and reliable farmers in the hills of Barolo and Barbaresco districts.
The estate's Cortese comes from the Gavi zone, where some of the Piemonte's top white wines are made. Aged in stainless steel tanks with extensive lees contact, this one is concentrated and full yet fresh and zesty. Bright notes of lemon oil, pear, spice, and citrus zest combine to make this a satisfying and delightful Gavi.
