From Elk Cove's sister winery, this comes from one of Oregon's greatest Pinot Noir sites. Located in the Yamhill-Carlton region, it is commonly referred to as an Oregon "Grand Cru" vineyard. Typically, wines carrying this designation will run you $50+.
'Light magenta. Sexy, highly perfumed aromas of red and dark berries, candied flowers and allspice, along with vanilla and smoky mineral qualities in the background. Juicy and concentrated, showing very good energy to the boysenberry, cherry preserve and spicecake flavors.
