Vieilles Vignes means old vines, and I can’t think of another Beaujolais producer who makes a Nouveau from 60-90-year-old vines. Most producers just don't care that much about their Nouveau bottlings, but that is not the case with the Chermette family.
Their Origines Nouveau is packed with juicy and snappy notes of strawberry, fresh cherry, earth, and a bit of spice. Medium-bodied, low in tannin and high in acidity, it's a lovely wine that really celebrates the harvest.
