Chiara Penati and Michele Conoscente are a young, wine-obsessed couple from Milan, and their organic farm in Paderna is turning out some compelling wines. Cortese is most well-known in Gavi production, and this one easily rivals the best of that famed appellation. Fresh, snappy and bright, but not thin, this is Italy’s answer to Chablis.
