Montepeloso is a tiny, 15-acre estate in the hills of Suvereto on Tuscany’s west coast, just south of Bolgheri. Winemaker Fabio Chiarelotto returned to his native Tuscany after growing up in Switzerland and has devoted himself to making wines of remarkable purity, elegance, and precision. His hands-on approach allows him to capture the character of the hot, coastal Maremma without sacrificing finesse.
Eneo is a blend of 65% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Malvasia Nera. Dark cherry and blackberry are layered with violet, lavender, mint, rosemary, and exotic spices. Refined tannins, refreshing acidity, and a beautifully balanced profile make this a Super Tuscan that favors elegance over sheer power.
