In 1985 Matteo inherited the land that belonged to his father, Giovanni Battista. He got to work with the mission of making wines that to him were worthy of carrying the Roero name outside of the Piedmont, as Roero was not a particularly globally known zone at the time. His mission was successful, and Matteo Corregia is regarded as a benchmark and pioneering producer of Roero.
Their Roero Arneis is everything that Matteo meant in the spirit of showing the world what Roero is capable of. Fresh, floral, and pure. A medley of fruits of green apple, ripe cantaloupe, nectarine, and lemon all show here. Florals of honeysuckle and acacia come with fresh oregano and wet stone. A brilliant example of Roero Arneis from one of the best to do it.
