Matt and Sara Licklider run their winery Lioco from Healdsburg, in the heart of Sonoma County. They buy all of their grapes from special sites cultivated by intentional farmers, most of whom farm organically and without irrigation. Lioco's wines are marked by their pure and honest style, and their Mendocino County Pinot is true to form.
Coming from a number of organic vineyards throughout the county, it is fermented with native yeasts and 15% whole clusters and aged for 8 months in a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak. The finished wine is joyful -- silky, easy to drink, and easier to love, it's packed with notes of cherry, raspberry, orange pekoe tea, and complex spice notes. Delicious!!!
