La Rioja Alta's Vina Alberdi is one of the benchmark wines of Spain's famed Rioja region and a wonderful introduction to traditionally made Rioja. Crafted from 100% Tempranillo grown in the estate's vineyards in Rioja Alta, the wine is aged extensively in American oak followed by additional bottle aging before release. The result is a silky, elegant red that balances freshness, complexity, and remarkable drinkability.
Classic aromas and flavors of raspberry, wild strawberry, and red currant mingle with notes of vanilla, toffee, sweet spice, roasted coffee, and Rioja's signature balsamic character. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a long, graceful finish, it's a natural partner for roast chicken, grilled lamb, mushroom dishes, or a perfectly cooked steak.
