La Pelle’s Sauvignon Blanc comes from a remarkable old-vine, dry-farmed site in St. Helena that has been the source of this wine since 2016. The vineyard is farmed organically, and the deep-rooted vines produce fruit with impressive concentration while retaining the freshness and natural acidity that makes this such a compelling Napa Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of white grapefruit, lime zest, green melon, jasmine, lemon verbena, wet stone, fennel, and fresh thyme lead into a beautifully expressive wine.
On the palate, this is much more textural than your average California Sauvignon Blanc, with bright citrus and lime framed by a subtle creaminess from extended lees contact. A saline, mineral character carries through the finish, keeping the wine fresh and energetic. La Pelle’s approach is focused on preserving what the vineyard gives them, resulting in a Sauvignon Blanc with real depth, texture, and complexity.
