Wrath '115/667' Pinot Noir
The foundation of this wine comes from Wrath's 72-acre San Saba Vineyard, just below the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County. This cool site gets little rainfall and enjoys one of the longest growing seasons in the world, with an exceptionally long growing season. The low-vigor, extremely well-draining soils contribute a subtle mineral character to the wines, while fruit from the estate's oldest Pinot Noir vines brings added depth and concentration.
Pale and translucent in color, this Pinot explodes from the glass with aromas of cherry, black cherry, blood orange, hibiscus tea, cinnamon, and leather. The palate is complex, elegant, and silky, with classic Central Coast Pinot character, impressive depth, and a velvety texture. Delicate in weight but assertive in flavor, with plenty of length and persistence.
