The Immich-Batterieberg estate, nestled along the steep, slate-rich slopes of Germany’s Mosel Valley, is one of the region’s most historic wineries, with roots tracing back to the 15th century. Once a renowned property in the 19th century, the estate experienced a long period of decline before being revitalized in the early 2000s with a commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention winemaking. Today, Immich-Batterieberg is celebrated for producing expressive, terroir-driven Rieslings that honor both tradition and the unique character of their vineyard sites.

The C.A.I. Riesling (a tribute to Carl August Immich) is vibrant and precise, offering lifted aromas of citrus zest, green apple, and white peach, layered with delicate herbal and slate-driven mineral notes. On the palate, it is crisp and energetic, with bright acidity balancing subtle fruit sweetness and a long, clean finish. This is a beautifully structured Riesling with both immediate charm and the potential to evolve gracefully over time.
