Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'Les Frionnes'

Since 1646, the Lamy's have been farming their vineyards in Saint-Aubin, and Olivier Lamy, son of Hubert Lamy, currently leads the charge here for the family. 

His Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'Les Frionnes' is all fruit coming from a south-facing parcel of vineyards that were planted back in 1935. Using just about 10%-30% new oak, it is very well integrated. Beautiful notes of white peach, bosc pear, Meyer lemon, and hazelnut comingle with flint, toast, white flowers, oyster shells, and citrus oil. Kaleidoscopic, rich, luxurious, and intense, this still has a fantastic vein of acidity running through it to give focus for a deeply interesting drinking experience from a producer whose prices only go up year after year.
