The fruit for this wine comes primarily from Honig's sustainably farmed vineyard in Rutherford, with some supplemental fruit from "friends and neighbors." Aged 18 months in a combination of new and used French and American oak, the resulting wine truly showcases the wondrous qualities of the 2018 Napa Cab vintage.
Ripe, beautifully detailed, and elegant, this is a prime example of why Rutherford is one of Napa's most distinct micro-climates and why it produces some of the region's top wines. Lovely notes of ripe plum, currant, dark raspberry, dusty earth, cedar, and dried herbs all make an appearance in the bouquet and on the palate of this classy Cab. Drinking wonderfully well now, this will continue to drink well for a decade or longer.
