Foradori Teroldego
Regular price $42.99An absolute legend in Italian winemaking, Elisabetta Foradori is the reason that the Trentino-Alto Adige varietal Teroldego has not gone extinct. She began work on her first vintage 1984 after completing her studies at S. Michele all'Adige's wine school. Her and her husband Rainer Zierock, who passed in 2009, went on to become one of the most sought after producers in all of Italy, working biodynamically since 2002. Nowadays, their children Emilio, Theo, and Myrtha are the ones generally running the show on the wine production, business and commerce, and farming and gradual expansion aspects respectively.
The Foradori Teroldego is brilliant. Iconic, energetic, unique, elegant, woodsy, and vibrant. A combination of muddled berries, vibrant raspberry and juicy blueberry make up the excellent fruit side of the wine. Wild notes of geranium, fried sage, olive brine, wet stone, and amaro bitters rotate around this exceptional entry to the Foradori style.
