Evesham Wood was founded by Russ Rainey in 1986 and has been committed to organic viticulture, receiving organic certification for their original estate vineyard, Le Puits Sec, in 2000. Since 2002 the winery itself has been certified organic. In 2010, Erin Nuccio, friend of Russ' since 2007, took over the winery as the new owner and steward.
The 'Eola-Amity Hills Cuvee' is a collection of fruit from several vineyards. Woodsy, pretty, and complex, with fruits of crushed raspberry and fresh blueberry. Clove, cedar, violet, and forest floor all show as well in a great entry point into the style of the Evesham Wood winery.
