Domaine Skouras 'Saint George' Agiorgitiko

Founded by George Skouras in 1986, Domaine Skouras is one of the pioneering estates of modern Greek wine. Based in the Nemea region of the Peloponnese, Skouras helped showcase the potential of Agiorgitiko, Greece's most important red grape. Drawing from hillside vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils, the estate combines traditional farming with thoughtful, low-intervention winemaking to produce wines that are both authentic and remarkably consistent.

The "Saint George" is made entirely from Agiorgitiko and serves as a wonderful introduction to this historic variety. Flowing with notes of black cherry, plum, dried herbs, sweet spice, and a hint of earth, it is medium-bodied, supple, and incredibly easy to drink. The combination of ripe fruit, fresh acidity, and soft tannins makes it a natural partner for grilled lamb, roasted vegetables, burgers, and Mediterranean-inspired fare.
