Regular price $43.99Since Olga's death, Domaine Olga Raffault is currently and very capably run by her granddaughter Sylvie and her husband Eric de la Vigerie. The estate has terrific plots of land in the Savigny-en-Véron district, right by the Vienne riverbanks. Raffault's wines are marked by their rustic, earthy, and complex personalities. Over the years, it has gained cult status as one of the benchmark expressions of Chinon's terroir.
The 'Les Picasses' bottling is an exceptional Chinon Rouge. Able to age for 15yrs+, this Cabernet Franc sees aging for at least a year in 30hl casks. Fresh, savory, and extremely well integrated, this has beautiful notes of crunchy brambly berries, a floral freshness, and soy sauce nuances. Vibrant and deep, one can tell we are clearly biased heavily in favor of anything from Sylvie and Eric de la Vigerie.
