Named after Grand Bois' proprietor and vigneron Marc Besnardeau, this is the estate's top wine. About 20 years ago, Marc purchased a plot of vines in Rasteau, just north of Gigondas, and today, those vines yield a rich and fabulously texture red wine that drinks a lot like Chateauneuf. It just costs a lot less.

A blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and 25% Mourvedre from biodynamically-farmed vineyards, the wine spends 12 months in demi-muids (large French oak vessels) before it is bottled with minimal fining or filtration. It's is a big yet seamless Southern Rhone that is very deserving of the 94 points Jeb Dunnuck awarded it with.

"Clearly the richest and most concentrated in the lineup, the 2019 Rasteau Cuvée Marc reveals a deep ruby/plum color to go with classic notes of ripe black cherries, melted licorice, roasted garrigue, and flowers. Ripe, medium to full-bodied, and beautifully textured, with ripe tannins, it's another brilliant 2019 from the Southern Rhône that will continue to drink nicely for another 8-10 years." - Jeb Dunnuck
