Greg Hoppenot is one of France's hottest young producers. Named Newcomer of the Year by La Revue du vin de France in 2020, he is a passionate vigneron who works with old vines just across the way from Clos de la Roilette, farms organically, and makes his wines with minimal intervention. His Origines Fleurie is stunning this vintage.
From the stellar 2022 vintage, this is quite dark and enticingly aromatic. Glorious notes of spiced plum, dark cherry, raspberry, rose petal, dried violet, and earth all come roaring out of the glass. Equally compelling on the palate, it is ripe, silky, forward, and oh-so satisfying.
