Domaine du Prieure Savigny-les-Beaune Blanc

This small, third generation, family-run estate calls Savigny-les-Beaune home, and they have produced what we believe is one of the greatest White Burgundy values on the planet. From a plot of vines planted nearly 50 years ago, this combines some of the rich and nutty character of a Meursault with the floral and mineralic notes of a Puligny.

It pours a nearly golden color and comes screaming out of the glass with wonderful notes of lemon curd, spiced apple and pear, marzipan, and just a hint of hazelnut and vanilla. Quite full and concentrated but buttressed by great acidity, this is seriously delicious!
