'Coming from older vines and 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, the 2020 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes is more medium-bodied and elegant, with a solid spine of acidity and ripe, polished tannins. Giving up lots of both red and black fruits as well as notes of Provençal garrigue, spice, and leather, this is well worth seeking out.
