Aurore Dezat and her husband David Girard make wines on the estate that was founded by Dezat's grandfather. Their vineyards span all of the great and classic terroirs of Sancerre -- limestone, clay, and silex (flint). Contained within in this bottle is a taste of all of these different soils and exposures, and the finished wine is pure and extremely balanced. BRAVO!
Pure, balanced, and full-flavored, this comes from a very good Loire Valley vintage. Bursting with notes of pear, pineapple, green apple, lime zest, flowers, and mineral, this is elegant and refined on the palate, finishing long and satisfyingly. So good and so affordable!
