Domaine des Chasseignes Sancerre Blanc

Domaine des Chasseignes began four generations ago with a family farm that also raised livestock and grew grains. Today, the great granddaughter of founder Alphonse, Aurore Dezat, is the talented vigneronne at the helm. Her husband, David Girard, joined her in 2016, and with him came a wealth of experience in organic and biodynamic farming.

I think this is a wonderfully pure and honest expression of Sancerre from the Loire Valley. It is balanced, full-flavored, and just flat out delicious. Bursting with notes of pear, pineapple, green apple, lime zest, flowers, and mineral, it shows both energy and precision, finishing elegant, refined, and long. So good and so affordable!
