Regular price $52.99The Arnesque estate itself is 20 acres spread across three appellations, Chateauneuf du Pape, Plan De Dieu, and Cotes Du Rhone. Fifth generation Marie and Sebastien are currently in charge of the estate that has been in the family since the mid nineteenth century.
Their Chateauneuf du Pape is a classic blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre coming from 50+ year old vines. Seeing maceration with about 25-30 days on the skins, with repeated punch downs, to bring out more extraction and tannic structure. The result is a ripe, lush, full-bodied, and fleshy Chateauneuf du Pape that really emphasizes power and elegance. Ripe strawberry, mulberry, dried plum, and black raspberry all come with sage, dried lavender, wood smoke, and pepper in this bold bottling from Domaine De L'Arnesque.
