"TERRE ROUGE means 'Red Earth'. This vermillion-colored soil is one of the hallmarks of our region. Our vineyards are in soils that are largely granite and volcanic-based. The TERRE ROUGE portfolio is composed of wines made from Rhône varietals grown in the rugged and varying terroirs of this region: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne. The Tete-a-Tete is a blend of mourvedre, syrah, and grenache. Coming entirely from the Seirra Nevada Foothills in California. The intent here is simple, and follows in the spirit of Bill Easton of Terre Rouge and Easton Wines, be easy drinking, ready, but capable of aging. Full, fruity, and with notes of smoked meats. When you want the southern rhone but want to be in California, this is wine is right where you want to go.
