This Gigondas is a blend of Grenache and Syrah coming from high altitude within the region, and is aged in concrete tanks. Full-bodied and balanced, with the trademark power and elegance that is Henri's style. Classic notes of ripe dark cherry, cherry liquer, and plum come forth in this rather aromatic Gigondas, thanks to its high altitude fruits. Fresh pepper, smoke, subtle spice, and classic garrigue show themselves in the layers of this serious example from Henri Leydier.
