Burguet makes classic, rich, and lushly textured Pinot Noirs from their extensive holdings throughout Gevrey-Chambertin. Average vine age is 75 years, brothers Jean-Luc and Eric farm organically, harvest and meticulously sort by hand, and age this wine for 18 months if French oak.

Their Les Pince Vin is a Bourgogne Rouge in name only, as it is comprised entirely of grapes from the Burguet's holdings in Gevrey. As with all of their wines, grapes are harvested at peak maturity, sorted berry-by-berry, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in French oak for 16 months. The finished wine is a masterpiece that smells and tastes like a top-flight Gevrey, but it costs a fraction of the price.

Deep, dark, and powerful, this opens with aromas of ripe cherry, blueberry, orange zest, rose petal, Asian spices, and a hint of earthy forest floor. Luxurious, rich, and lush on the palate, it is long on the finish with reverberating flavors that go on for a good 30 seconds.
