Cordero di Montezemolo is one of the oldest and most respected estates in Barolo, best known for its classic Piedmontese reds. Arneis is the estate's only white wine, and it's a terrific reminder that some of Italy's greatest values come from lesser-known grapes. One of Piemonte's most important native white varieties, Arneis is nicknamed "The Little Rascal" for its naturally low yields and tendency to lose acidity quickly if harvested too late.
Beautifully aromatic and crisp, this Arneis offers notes of white peach, pear, apricot, and honeysuckle, with a fresh, lively palate and a wonderfully luscious texture. Think an unoaked White Burgundy crossed with a fuller-textured Pinot Gris, with just a little splash of Viognier.
