Chateau L'Ermite D'Auzan Rosé Auzan

This is a really nice southern French rosé from this small, biodynamic certified, family estate. A blend of Grenache and Cinsault, this has got plenty of fresh red berry, raspberry and red currant character, but there's a nice savory edge and enough structure to keep it interesting. Fresh, dry, and absolutely delicious.

The Castillon family has been farming this estate for four generations, and today the vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic. The estate sits on the gravelly soils of Costières de Nîmes, just north of the Camargue, and the Mediterranean breezes help keep the wines fresh. This is exactly the kind of rosé I like to drink: serious enough to think about, but easy enough to reach for another glass. Great with grilled fish, chicken, salads, or just sitting outside with a plate of something salty.
