Chateau Barde-Haut is a project that focuses on crafting wines of power, freshness, and elegance. Their Saint Emilion Grand Cru bottling is a blend of largely Merlot with the rest being composed of Cabernet Franc. Seeing about 18-24 months of aging before release. The wine is decadent, regal, powerful, serious, and structured. Fruits of blackcurrant, plum, and cherry comingle with classic Saint Emilion savory notes of licorice root, smoke, coffee bean, grilled herb, and new leather.
