The white wines of Gascogne in Southwestern France represent wonderful values for your wine-buying dollar. Composed of lesser-known grapes like Colombard, Ugni Blanc, and Gros Manseng, they are typically fermented in stainless steel, and the resulting wines are light, fresh, and highly aromatic.
That's exactly what you get here -- this blend of 70% Colombard and 30% Gros Manseng has turned out wonderfully. Flowing with notes of bright citrus, tropical fruits, white peach, and quince, it's a great alternative to Sauvignon Blanc. Perfect on the patio, at the beach, or with fish, seafood, and salads.
