Regular price $25.99Paolo Cianferoni's Rosso is far from a simple Tuscan red wine. 100% Sangiovese from his old, organically farmed vineyards in Radda (the holiest ground in Chianti Classico), he ferments and ages in cement tanks to preserve freshness and purity. That's the reason why he can't call it Chianti Classico, as those wines have to spend some time in oak.
While this is technically a non-vintage wine, it's based on the wonderful 2021 vintage, one of the best of the 21st century. This pours a deep ruby color and exudes aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, black cherry, plum, spice, herb, and mineral. Quite plump and giving on the palate, it stays fresh and light on its feet due to Sangiovese's natural acidity. Give it 15-30 minutes in the decanter, and you will be rewarded with a stunning wine that embodies all of the virtues of Tuscan red wine.
