Founded in 2011 by Chris Iaconis, Brick & Mortar is a small producer best known for cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, especially from the Sonoma Coast and Anderson Valley. The winery emphasizes bright acidity, lower alcohol, and minimal intervention, aiming for a style that’s closer to elegant Burgundy than the richer California norm.
Their Anderson Valley Chardonnay is exceptional, and it comes from top sites scattered throughout the cooler Anderson Valley, most notably the famed Ferrington Vineyard.

Flavors on the palate suggest clementine, Meyer lemon and white grapefruit zest, cascading into lime-vanilla crema, dried spice and a dry, long finish. Pair with fresh Dungeness crab."
