Brothers Andrea and Luca Elegir run this solar-powered, organic winery that is home to some very old vines in Loazzolo. These steeply sloped vineyards are home to vines that were planted in the 1920's and 1940's, and the this small estate puts these vines to great use.
Their Dolcetto is just downright charming and refreshing. With low tannin and high acidity, this light red is Italy's answer to Cru Beaujolais or lighter Loire Cab Franc. Fragrant, fresh, and juicy, it delights with notes of cherry, spice, and mellow earth. Delightful!
