Domaine Andre Bonhomme is one of the benchmark estates of the Vire-Clesse appellation, a premier white wine zone in Burgundy's Maconnais region. Long regarded as pioneers of estate bottling, organic farming, and biodynamics in Southern Burgundy, the Bonhomme family reserves their oldest vineyard parcels for this cuvee. Many of the Chardonnay vines used in Vieilles Vignes are more than 100 years old, yielding tiny quantities of intensely concentrated fruit that beautifully express the character of this special terroir.

To preserve and enhance that remarkable fruit, the wine is aged on its lees for nearly two years in a combination of stainless steel and French oak, with just 15% new barrels employed. Rich and powerful without ever becoming heavy, it offers layered aromas and flavors of ripe pear, pineapple, white flowers, roasted hazelnut, baking spice, and chalky minerality. Full-bodied and expansive on the palate, it is balanced by vibrant acidity that carries the wine through a long, complex finish and ensures excellent aging potential.
