Based in Verdigny, the Cherrier brothers farm 20 hectares of vines spread over five different villages around Sancerre, as well as 10 hectares of vines in Menetou-Salon. They make a relatively small amount of Sancerre Rouge, and these Pinot Noir-based wines can be quite charming.
This one is with its pure and clean aromas and flavors of cherry, cranberry, earth, and mineral. Medium-bodied, crisp, and honest, it would be ideal served with a slight chill with or without roast chicken or salmon.
