Viña Cobos makes wines that are authentic expressions of the terroir from which they come. Paul Hobbs, founding partner and winemaker at Viña Cobos, has worked since 1988 in the exploration of the different terroirs of Mendoza, looking for the most distinguished regions in Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco, to produce wines that uniquely express their origins.
'The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Bramare Luján de Cuyo was aged for 18 months in 25% new barrels, the rest in used. A dusky, garnet red in the glass. The nuanced nose is led by pyrazines followed by blackcurrant, blackberry and ash with camphor and potent spice notes. Intense and juicy with a slick feel, the flavors develop clearly at the back of the mouth along with a good body and plenty of subtle, measured details.' - Vinous Media - 94 points
