Reeve Pinot Noir 'Ya Moon'

'Bybee Vineyard is located in the Sonoma Coast AVA, just outside of the town of Sebastopol on Mill Station Road. It is farmed in an extremely hands-on, "beyond-organic" fashion that includes organic compost and use of stylet oil as a fungicide with few other applications. Ya Moon is comprised of a variety of Pinot clones including 114, 777, 667 and Pommard. This wine was carbonically fermented in small stainless steel tanks over 10 days. Bottled in the December, this wine aged for short time in stainless steel to preserve the bright intensity and energetic aromatics: fresh crushed berries, fine-beaded mineralogy, and notes of citrus peel. An absolute minimum amount of SO2 was used for preservation only at bottling. Free sulfur levels are at only 10 parts per million. As usual, this wine is versatile and endlessly quaffable, even with a slight chill in the summer. As the French would say, it is a true vin de soif.' - Winemaker's notes
