Pere Mata Trepat Cava Rose

Pere Mata is the name of the man behind Pere Mata, the winery of which is Mata i Coloma. Working entirely organically and all by hand, he uses (among others) the traditional Cava varietals of Xarello, Macabeu, and Parellada. All of his wines spend at least 2 years on the lees, and are always vintage dated and disgorgement dated, which puts him in a serious league of expression among Cava winemakers!

Pere Mata's Trepat Rose is, like all other bottlings from him, a vintaged and disgorgement dated sparkler. A vibrant rose that shows punchy red berries, herbal notes of hibiscus, and a savory twang. It is extra brut, so it falls under the very low dosage category of wines that sparkling producers craft.
