Ovum Wines Big Salt White Blend

This is a white wine that tries to capture a day at the beach in a bottle. Fresh, dry, breezy - the bright aromas of the wine are met with a dry, almost salty textured palate that’s well-suited for sitting in the sun and hanging with friends. Sustainable and organic vineyards throughout Oregon are the building blocks for Big Salt. The blend on the 2022 is 50% Riesling, 30% Gewurztraminer, 14% Muscat, 3% Sauvignon Blanc, and 3% others.

This erupts from the glass with a mélange of citrus – bergamot, flamed lemon, sweet grapefruit. Salty white tea aromas are interlaced with pithy lemon before a waft of alyssum hits your senses. Classic Big Salt on the palate – racy acidity combined with beeswax-y textures before finishing dry. Big Salt pairs well with fish tacos, pesto chicken pasta, pad thai…or just chilling.
