Leziria Castelao

From the sandy-soiled vineyards just inland from Lisbon, this incredible value is based entirely on the Castelao grape. This native Portuguese varietal can often yield quite tannic wines, but this version is much softer and open-knit. Offering up attractive aromas and flavors of ripe berries and spice, this medium-bodied, silky smooth red is ideal for everyday consumption. It is another prime example of why Portugal is considered "Value Central" for wines these days.....
